On the library home page, click Electronic Resources by Subject, a new window will pop up, then click on the Languages and Literatures tab.
We suggest that from there you begin with either Literature Resource Center, a Galenet database or Literary Reference Center, a EBSCOhost database. Both contain biographical and critical information on thousands of authors. From there any of the other databases listed may give you information on your author.
